Hamlet

Hamlet is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare sets in Denmark.

After The death of the king, Hamlet's father, became king Claudius, Hamlet's uncle, that married Gertrude, the queen Hamlet's mother. In that period Hamlet was very sad for the death of his father while the king and the queen didn't regret a lot for him. Meanwhile the members of the King's Guard when were keeping guard on night saw the ghost of the previous king so they decided to advise Hamlet
When Hamlet went to them for seeing the ghost of his father, after midnight the ghost appear and told to Hamlet that he was murdered by Claudius. The King and the Queen thought that Hamlet was becoming mad because was always so sad and now was always alone so Polonius, a friend of the king thought that the causes of the madness of Hamlet was the love for his daughter Ofelia, because the prince had written her some letters of love.
So he organized a meeting between Hamlet and his daughter where Hamlet told her that he didn't love her and curse her. The King and Polonius that had seen the scene thought that Hamlet was really mad and the king decided to send him in England.
Then some actor came to the court and Hamlet asked them to act a theater of a story of murder of a king by friend that marry wife of the king and take the crown. But the king offended by that show go away before the end of it follow to all except Hamlet that after went to the room of the Queen for tell her how she could killed his real husband and listened some move behind the column, though that was the King kill the body that was Polonius.

Beowulf

The fight

Beowulf is an epic poem, written in old english, and next translated in today's english.
The poem talks about the deeds of a Scandinavian prince, called Beowulf, who travels a lot to prove his strength. He kills three monsters: Grendel, the men-eating monster, Grendel's mother and a dragon.
When he kills the dragon he dies, and borns the legend of a hero-warrior.
The monster represents the evils of the society, and the hero the virtues that people should have, for example, courage, loyalty and so on.

First it was oral, then it was written in verses, and there are a lot of alliterations, the use of images and repetitions.

Diets

There are thousands of diets. Some are for losing weight, while others are for gaining weight, lowering cholesterol, living a long and healthful life, and many other reasons.

The Atkins diet, or Atkins nutritional approach, focuses on controlling the levels of insulin in the body through a low-carbohydrate diet.
The ketogenic diet has been used for decades as a treatment for epilepsy and is also being explored for other uses. It involves reducing carbohydrate intake and upping fat intake. It sounds contrary to common sense, but it allows the body to burn fat as a fuel, rather than carbohydrates.
There are various types of vegetarian: lacto-vegetarian, fruitarian vegetarian, lacto-ovo vegetarian, living food diet vegetarian, ovo-vegetarian, pesco-vegetarian, and semi-vegetarian.
Veganism is more of a way of life and a philosophy than a diet. A vegan does not eat anything that is animal-based, including eggs, dairy, and honey. Vegans do not usually adopt veganism just for health reasons, but also for environmental, ethical, and compassionate reasons.
The raw food diet, or raw foodism, involves consuming foods and drinks that are not processed, are completely plant-based, and ideally organic.
The Mediterranean diet is Southern European, and more specifically focuses on the nutritional habits of the people of Crete, Greece, and southern Italy. Nowadays, Spain, southern France, and Portugal are also included, even though Portugal does not touch the Mediterranean Sea.

Globalization

Globalization is the process of interaction between people, companies and governments.
This process has effects on the environment, on culture, on political systems, on economic development and prosperity.




Globalization has brought benefits in developed countries as well as negative effects.

The positive effects include a number of factors which are education, trade, technology, investments, employment, culture and organization structure.











The negative effects are jobs insecurity, capitol flows and so on...





















I think it is impossible to return to an economy and society without globalization.

Clark the shark

Clark the Shark

In the wide blue sea, there was a school, the top school of all the sea, its name was Theodore Roosterfish Elementary. Everyone went to this school, but, the biggest and the strongest kid was Clark the shark.

Clark was a shark, so when he played with his friends he was wild and he played very hard, while he was having lesson he made a lot of noise, when he ate with the others he munched everything etc.

So, nobody wanted to play with him, and he was very sad.

One day he asked to the teacher what was wrong with everyone, and she told him that there is a time and a place for everything, and when he was at school he had to stay cool.

Clark tried to stay cool but he always forgot it... all of sudden he had a great idea, he made a rhyme for everything he did.

For example, while he was having lesson the rhyme was "WHEN THE TEACHER IS TALKING, DO NOT GO WALKING", when he was having lunch the rhyme was "ONLY MUNCH YOUR OWN LUNCH".

So Clark was able to stay cool at school, and all his friends wanted to play with him.

Suddenly at school arrived a new kid, Sid the squid.

Sid was very big and very wild, like Clark, in fact, they immediately became friends; when they played together they were wild and they destroyed everything.

One day, while they were playing, Clark stopped and said to Sid that if he wanted to stay at school and play whit other fish he had to stay cool.

At that moment everyone cheered to Clark because finally he learned the rule:

"WHEN YOU ARE AT SCHOOL, STAY COOL" and also that "THERE IS A TIME AND A PLACE FOR EVERYTHING".

Types of house in the UK

Then there are the cottages, that are very expensive because they are really rare.

There are also skyscrapers, unusually in cities.that are near universities and near hospitals.

English prefer houses with a garden, like the detached houses.

Then, there are the terraced houses, houses that are built on the same line, and they are all egual, in fact, people use to decorate front gardens and gates to distinguish them.
