My favorite sportsperson is Federica Pellegrini, an Italian swimmer. She was born on 5 August 1988 in Mirano, province of Venice. She holds the women's 200m freestyle world record, and won a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. At the 2009 World Championships in Rome, she became the first woman ever to break the 4 minute barrier in the 400m freestyle. Pellegrini is the only swimmer to have won seven medals in a raw in the same event at the World Championship. She is also the first female Olympics champion in the history of Italian swimming.
Pellegrini currently holds 1 world record, 3 European records and 10 national records.

The Sydney Opera House is an opera house in Sydney, Australia.

Jorn Utzon

It was designed by the Danish architect Jorn Utzon; he began work on Sydney Opera House in 1957, but it was not completed until 1973, under the direction of Peter Hall, because the government was not paying his invoices. 

Today the Sydney Opera House is a famous tourist attraction, and many concerts and events take place here.
